Dear Me

Dear Me,
I’ve known you for as long as I can remember. I once heard there’s “a friend who sticks closer than a brother,” and yes, that’s us, though I doubt it’s what the proverb was talking about. I’ve been close to a lot of people, but you and me? We have quite an attachment.

Looking back, it’s fair to say I’ve treated you pretty well. As a matter of fact, more times than I can count, I’ve put you ahead of anything and everything else. Agreed?

As we were growing up. I tried to make sure you were always at the front of the line. I saw to it that you got the biggest cookie on the plate, the best parking spot, the comfiest chair in any room we entered.

In school, I noticed the little things you liked, and I went after them. You always loved attention, so I did everything in my power to see that you got it. You still like the spotlight, so I’ve maneuvered to keep you in its glare. Now that we have the Internet, I have more tools. I post only the pictures that show you at your very best. Anybody would think you’re living the dream. Have you seen the comments people write about you? When you have struggled or had a hard time, I’ve done my best to keep that our little secret. I’ve tried to make you happy.

Sure, it was a little easier to keep you happy when you were a cute little tyke. A simple temper tantrum got the job done. Then, as we grew older, I had to be a little more discreet. You wanted to keep winning and getting your way—all the while looking humble and unassuming. That gets tricky! Not to mention tiring.

As a matter of fact, you never seem to care about dull stuff like bills and consequences and what happens tomorrow. I’ve said more than a few harsh words on your behalf to certain people, and you never warned me about the mess. You never told me I couldn’t unsay what I’ve said.

I love you, Me. But I can’t keep living for you. You always insisted that if I’d just keep you happy, then I’d be happy—as simple as that. But you know what? It’s not as simple as that. It never has been.

Me, I’ve let you be in control and sit in the driver’s seat, but it’s clear you can’t be trusted. You keep insisting you know the way we should go, but it always seems to be a dead end. I’ve looked into some other options, and I have decided to begin a journey down a different path. It’s narrow and difficult and not many choose it, but it leads to real and abundant life. However, and there is no easy way to say this, I can’t take this path if I bring you along.

So, Me, this is the end of you.

Wrong ways

                      what do you prefer?

I don't feel bad so it's not a sin.

I didn't made harm to someone so it's not a sin.

I enjoyed it so it isn't a sin."

Not because it is a sin means that you would not like it. 

It has happened to me, you and all of us. We believe that because we don't feel bad means we didn't do something wrong. 

You know as a son of God, follower of Christ you are most likely to be on the eyes of the devil to bring you out of God ( because he doesn't like people to follow God and workship Him) and sometimes he tells us 'rough' lies to make us don't come to God like: 

        - God doesn't loves you.                L

        - you are not important to him.       I

But other times the devil tells us 'nice' lies to make us don't come to God like:

- you don't need anyone but yourself     L

        -  you are self-sufficient.                 I

there are actually lies and sins that we like (if we didn't like them there wouldn't be a problem the sin) and we think we are okay because we feel like that but... It happens that you are not okay in your relationship with God. 

The psalmist said 

Examine me, O God, and know my mind; test me, and discover my thoughts. Find out if there is any evil in me and guide me in the everlasting way.-(Psalm 139:23-24)

David needed everyday of God to tell him if he was going right, because he understood that he only sees the 'now' (like a player) but God sees all "the field", like the coach). In the same way,  Everyday we must look at ourselves and pray that the Lord will show us our reality and guide us to the right and everlasting way. 

Don't be like the people of this world, but let God change the way you think. Then you will know how to do everything that is good and pleasing to him. (Romans 12:2)

Let the word of God be your light and true.

Enjoy the journey

I don't know about you but, I am the kind of person that when I fail on doing something I criticize myself a lot but when I achieve something I can hardly congratulate myself. And like I'm always looking foward to where am I going to be next? what i'm going to do?

I realize a couple of months ago that that's the most miserable way of living, because you are never enjoying! I found out that the target, objetive, it's always going to move until the day you die. 

On the month of April I took my English Cambridge Exam and my dream was to get to the level B2, straight just get there and on these month (july) I received my results and i got B1 while many of my twin sister got the level B2 (ouch).

I was maddd, I was upset. I mean why did the Lord would do these to me? And one saturday night at dinner my sister said these words:

You know I think you just gotta be thankful with what the Lord gives you now. You just  have to learn to enjoy what you have now so that you will enjoy what the Lord will give you on the future. (in spanish obviously) 

I reflected on those words and then God showed me: 1 Thessalonians 5: 12-24

• 13 Always be happy.
• 14 Talk to God at all times.
• 15 Thank God for everything. This is what God wants you to do through Christ Jesus.
• 17 Do not despise people who speak words from God.
• 18 But test everything that is said. Keep what is good.
• 21 It is God who calls you, and he can be trusted. He will surely do what he has said.

Sometimes it's hard, Jesus said it wouldn't, but He said that you wouldn't have to do these alone. Meanwhile let's learn to sing in the darkest night, let's enjoy the journey because (if the Lord has the rudder) we know we are going in the right direction. 

Don't let the devil to distract you from enjoying your journey, just listen to the driver, our God.

Es hora de levantarse del sueño

"Es hora de levantarse del sueño..."- Romanos13:11

 En romanos 13, a pesar de ser pequeño, se describe de toda una manerda de vida (durmiendo) y, para mi los más remarcable de este pedazo de la escritura fue el que se muestra poeticamente diciendo es hora de levantarnos del sueño, la noche ha pasado y ha llegado el dia.

Existen muchas relfexiones en las que se busca el desarrollar la fe, y persistir en una peticion, pero es bueno recordar y mirar hacia lo que ya ocurrió, Si nos volvemos en oradores con solo una lista de peticiones y agradecimientos ¿dónde esta la pasión por seguir a Cristo? Tal vez algunos sigan en oración por algún deseo en sus corazones, y a ustedes les digo que persistan pero, a los que solo buscan razones para seguir pidiendo dejame contarte... Hace algunos días, en una noche de peticiones al mes de mi iglesia, trate de buscar cualquier minima razon para pedir (y aunque sé que nunca estará todo bien) no puede quejarme de nada, cada carga El Señor la ha tomado,

Hoy te pido que agradezcas que tienes nuevos problemas, porque cada vez que llega un problema nuevo, significa que otro ya se fue, levantate de ese sueño de negatividad y mediocrecia.
Te reto a que te levantes y te vistas de las armas de luz (romanos 13:12)  Se que hay problemas pero, es mejor ver la vida de victoria en victoria, no de problema en problema.

Cuando Dios Habla

Las palabras de Dios

Génesis 1 nos presenta el cuadro de Dios creando todo de la nada; con Su Palabra. De la boca de Dios salió el universo; cuando Él dijo, fue hecho. Cuando Dios habla cosas suceden, por lo tanto, lo más importante es oír a Dios, y que esto defina todo lo que nosotros somos.

La vida en Cristo se enfoca en que nosotros nos conectemos con lo que Dios está haciendo. Jesús dijo: “De cierto, de cierto os digo: No puede el Hijo hacer nada por sí mismo, sino lo que ve hacer al Padre; porque todo lo que el Padre hace, también lo hace el Hijo igualmente” (Juan 5:19). Es por esto la importancia de escuchar lo que Dios está diciendo.

Cuando el ángel le dice a María que va a concebir a Jesús, le menciona “porque no hay nada imposible para Dios” (Lucas: 1:38). En el contexto de estas palabras, esta frase da a entender que a cualquier cosa que Dios dice, no le falta poder para hacerse real. Cuando Dios habla, es como una semilla con poder adentro de ella que provoca que sucedan aquellas cosas que Dios está ordenando a través de Su palabra.

El seguir a Cristo no se trata de que Dios dé las leyes, y nosotros las sigamos, pues la carne se rebela contra la ley. Sino que cuando la Palabra penetra en nuestras vidas, produce sus efectos sola; es Él quien nos hace diferentes y nos hace nuevos.

Las palabras que salen de la boca de Dios son “verbos” que causan movimientos y cambios. Y Dios sigue hablando sobre nuestras vidas palabras de acción que cambian lo que somos, si nos exponemos a ellas. La clave del Nuevo Testamento no es “haz esto y vivirás”; la clave es “el que tiene oídos para oír, oiga”. En Hebreos 1 dice “Dios, habiendo hablado muchas veces y de muchas maneras en otro tiempo a los padres por los profetas, en estos postreros días nos ha hablado por el Hijo”.

Just like you are

IIn the world there are a lot of events and meetings: wedding, birthday parties, job interviews etc. and in all of them we are required to go dressed in a certain way maybe, bring some papers or presents with us. 

Sometimes it gets tired when you have to go somewhere...you know? The questions pop like what should I wear? what should I bring with me? some money?
But then there I was, someone invited me to church, before it could say all of the pop questions, she said to me <you don't have to bring nothing but yourself, just come like you are>. So I went and since then I haven't miss a day without going to the presence of my Lord and Savior. I was changed by unique, everlasting love. 

 You are invited to come... just as I am.

It dosen't matter what you have done, what you are doing or will do. 

It dosen't matter where you have been, where you are or where you will be. 

God tells you today: 

I have loved you with an everlasting love. (Jeremiah 31:3)

Come near to God and He will come near to you. (James 4:8)

The Bible, the word of God to us,  sheds light on every kind of darkness. Culture cannot outrun God’s grace.

Jesus came so that we could come... just as we are. (Don't have to pretend)

Whether you are in your bedroom, your church, a fancy christian event or at your school you can come to the presence of the Savior...Just as they are.

Sinners: Redeemed. Forgiven. Set free.

Gloria en lugar de ceniza

«A ordenar que a los afligidos de Sion se les dé gloria en lugar de ceniza.» — Salmos 107:28-29

Miles de personas han sido dañadas severamente en sus vidas. Vienen de relaciones quebrantadas o de experiencias de abuso, que todavía tienen consecuencias negativas en sus vidas.
 Dios quiere enviar el viento de Espíritu Santo a nuestras vidas (Hechos 2:1-4), para remover las cenizas que han quedado del intento de Satanás por destruirnos, y para cambiar las cenizas por gloria y belleza.
El Señor me ha enseñado que el fruto que es constantemente malo viene de raíces malas. No importa cuánto tratemos de deshacernos del fruto malo, si las raíces no sanan, continuarán dando frutos malos en otro lugar.
Dios nos ha creado para ser amados. Él quiere amarnos; quiere que nos amemos los unos a los otros, que sintamos amor y nos aceptemos a nosotros mismos. Sin este fundamento de amor y aceptación, no tendremos gozo ni paz.
Algunos de nosotros necesitamos ser transplantados. Si comenzamos en tierra mala, Jesús nos transplantará para que tengamos raíces y fundamento en su amor, como lo enseña la Biblia. Y al tener raíces basadas en Él, los frutos que consecuentemente vendrán son de amor, aceptación y paz.
Tú sabes que eres de valor, único, amado y especial. Cuando tienes este cimiento y estas raíces, produces buen fruto.
¡Pide a Dios que cambie tus cenizas en gloria!
